The best hotel on Naxos is almost certainly the boutique Kavos Hotel. Facing west and overlooking what is arguably the best beach on the island, the great sandy sweep of Agios Prokopios, this lovely Cycladic-style hotel is set mature Mediterranean gardens.

It has 10 studios, four villas that sleep upto six people and one apartment for four. All have sea views and, on a clear day you can see for miles to Ios, Paros and Santorini. There is an infinity pool, a pool side cafe-bar and an excellent bistro serving 'new' Greek food.
